*Promotes and maintains residents rights.
*Set tables with beverages, silverware, napkins and condiments needed for meals.

Job Summary:

Provides support to residents with day-to-day needs of daily life. Performs personal and housekeeping tasks to the degree a resident cannot do for themselves. Needs to be willing to become MED CERTIFIED within 90 days of employment.
NOTE: There is a $ .30 per hour shift differential pay increase for hours worked from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Upon Medication Certification hourly rate increases TO $16.32 per hour.
Experience:

Job Summary:

Operates and maintains a variety of types of heavy equipment used in the maintenance, repair and construction of the County Road and Bridge System, including class A trucks, graders, bulldozers, front end loaders, back hoes, dump trucks, crusher equipment, asphalt production and application equipment, snow removal equipment and sanding equipment.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years in a related field. Background in heavy equipment operation. Must maintain a valid Idaho Commercial Driver’s License Class A. Must be able to pass exams and acquire CDL endorsements "tanker" within six months of hire date.

Maintains and repairs light and heavy equipment owned by Boundary County, troubleshooting, diagnosing and determining the most effective and cost-efficient method of repair. Repairs drive train, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and all other systems. Installs electrical and electronic equipment, fabricates parts and assists in the construction of special tools and equipment. Basic computer skills & computerized diagnostic equipment.

JOB SUMMARY
Must be compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent resident care. Supporting our residents in maintaining their day-to-day abilities while encouraging independence and confidence. Maintains a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho. Performs nursing type duties within the guidelines of the Board of nursing Rules and IDAPA Rules for Assisted Living. The registered nurse is responsible for assuring that each resident is assessed according to the rules and regulations for assisted living facilities, delegation to UAP’s per the Board of Nursing. Registered Nurse will determine the health status of each resident and make recommendations to the Administrator as to their healthcare needs. Must be able to respond to changes in resident’s healthcare needs. Monitor each resident’s medications and assure that each resident’s medications are in accordance with the IDAPA rules and the Board of Nursing Rules. Must be reachable at all times. POSITION FUNCTIONS
1.             Promote and maintain Resident’s Rights.
2.       Conduct Pre admission assessments per state guidelines within 14 days of admission of a new resident.
3.            Develop an Interim Plan of Care at time of admission of a new resident as well as assist in developing
residents service plans within 14 days of admission, annually, and when there is a change of condition.
4.             Conduct a Nursing assessment every 90 days and/or when there is a change in condition.
5.             Communicate with the Administrator regarding any medication needs or other health care needs
requiring a follow up as well as follow up on previous recommendations.
6.             Assist in developing and monitoring behavior plans.
7.             Psychotropic medication reviews every 90 days for all residents on psychotropic medications.
8.             Ensure that the least restrictive interventions are in place and review for possible medication
reductions by their primary physician when appropriate every 6 months
9.             Review medications for possible side effects, interactions with other medications, abuse or other
adverse effects.
10.     Monitor resident’s that are capable of self- medicating monthly to assure the resident is still capable of
performing the task.
11.      Delegate according to the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01 to unlicensed assistive personnel,
medication coordinator and bath aid to perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include
dispensing medications if the unlicensed assistive personnel have a current certificate through the state of
Idaho which enables them to assist with medications. Delegation to Medication certified staff must be
approved by the Administrator prior to the delegation.
12.      Supervise and educate staff when changes in care or to guide in follow through of care plans.
13.      Routinely promote proper technique to staff and training for infection control.
14.      May perform other duties as assigned or as additional needs develop.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Extensive knowledge of the Board of Nursing Rules 23.01.01. At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and work effectively with the elderly, their families, physicians, pharmacy, UAP’s and the Administrator. Must have knowledge of common medications and be able to identify possible adverse reactions and be prompt with an appropriate response. Experience with behavior management plans is recommended. Computer experience is essential.
TYPICALLY WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a group of people in completing tasks. Understand and apply the assisted living rules and regulations and/or is willing/capable to learn. High degree of performance and accuracy required to ensure the health and safety of the Boundary County Community Restorium residents. Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively with staff and residents. May be exposed to infectious waste or communicable disease. Position: Emergency Communications Specialist
Department: Sheriff
Starting wage: 21.23
Position Summary:
Monitors radios and answers telephone, including 911 system, and relays accurate and pertinent information to appropriate agency or agencies necessary to ensure a rapid and effective response. Enters data on all wanted, missing or runaway persons, protection orders, vehicles, stolen firearms and other information into nationwide law enforcement database, and provides information to law enforcement officers in the field on license registration, warrants and dangerous suspects to ensure officer safety.
UPON OBTAINING POST DISPATCH ACADEMY CERTIFICATION, salary will increase .50 an hour.
Position Duties:
1. Monitors radios and answers multiple-line telephone, including 911 system and TDD system, and relays accurate and pertinent information to appropriate local, state or federal agency or agencies necessary to ensure a safe, rapid and effective response to a variety of critical and non-critical situations, including crimes, disputes, fires, medical emergencies, missing persons, power outages and natural disasters, and maintains effective line of communication and coordination between all agencies and parties involved until incident is resolved. Disseminates information concerning public safety to the news media in a timely manner to ensure public safety.
2. Enters data on all wanted, missing or runaway persons, protection orders, stolen vehicles, stolen firearms, Uniform Crime Reports and other information into state and nation-wide law enforcement computer databases, and provide information gathered from seven state and national computer data bases to law enforcement officers in the field on license registration, outstanding warrants and dangerous persons to ensure officer safety. Performs regular status checks on officers in the field, particularly those involved in potentially dangerous or hazardous situations, and alerts other law enforcement officers or agencies when an officer is facing a potentially dangerous situation.
3. Maintains accurate log of all incoming calls and activities as required by departmental rules and Idaho Code, including audio recording of all 911 calls and written log of all aspects of emergency response; including call times, responding parties, time of arrival on scene, incident status and time scene is cleared.
4. Monitor and ensure the safety of corrections officers at all times by visual observation and audio monitoring.
5. Monitor and appropriately respond to alarm systems which monitor critical facilities.
6. Maintain an accurate log of all citations written.
7. Is an active member of the team in preparing reports on the monthly validations of the NCIC - ILETS entries.
8. Maintains updated / accurate information on county personnel, ambulance personnel, volunteer firefighters, search and rescue personnel, Sheriff's Posse personnel, local, state and federal law enforcement and emergency response agencies and local business owners to ensure timely callout in the event of an emergency.
9 Responsible to know and follow all safety and procedural rules and regulations, to include Boundary County Sheriff's Office Policy & procedures, Boundary County Emergency Procedures Manual, NCIC and ILETS operation and code manuals, the Idaho Hazardous Materials Response Manual, the Idaho Law Enforcement Resource Directory, Boundary County Personnel Policy, etc.
10. Serves as primary liaison between the public and the sheriffs offices, responding not only to emergency calls, but to inquiries from the public for various record requests, forwarding them to the appropriate personnel. Greets and assists the public who visit the sheriff's office, providing information in a professional, courteous manner, especially when dealing with people who may be angry or distraught.
11. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times with exception of information that is required by Idaho Code as not public record.
12 Responsible to maintain the communications center in a clean and, presentable manner at all times.
13. Monitors multi-camera video / audio security system to ensure security of inside and outside of the sheriff's office.
14. Provides as needed pat downs of inmates brought into the facility when a detention deputy of the same sex is not on duty.
15. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Experience in computer operation, data processing and general office skills. Education or experience in law enforcement practices and procedures preferred. Must pass ILETS/NCIC entry and inquiry test within six months of employment and maintain ILETS certification annually. Must complete Basic POST Dispatch Academy during first year of employment and attend other classes and seminars as required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a clear, strong voice and the ability to remain composed and professional under extremely stressful situations. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously and with constant interruption. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have above-average ability to gather information from a number of sources, render a rapid decision as to the most effective response, and communicate information accurately yet concisely. Must be able to remain on-station for extended periods, ensuring that the communications center does not go un-staffed.
